Jürgen Van Gorp is a Senior cross-platform polyvalent Enterprise Architect and Project Manager with two master degrees and a PhD in Applied Sciences and Engineering and is owner of the ITIL, Prince2 and PMP/PMI
certifications. He has more than 20 years experience in the most various ICT domains from Research & Development, over System Analysis and Technical Design/Architecture to Project Management for large scale projects.
Jürgen is the writer of the Chagwa V1.0 book, and the driver of most of the Chagwa principles within The Bayard Partnership.
Many organizations are hesitating between an Agile and Waterfall approach for doing project management. The Chagwa theory adds change control to the list of project approaches and explains why and how the different project management styles can be integrated. Change, Waterfall and Agile are no longer competing,
but are complementary.
The Chagwa project methodology is a full set of processes that guide you through a project end-to-end, and allows governance for each type of project. It provides rules of thumb for selecting the right project management methodology. Different types of projects also need to be managed differently. Chagwa allows
different types of projects to be run in parallel, and individual results to be integrated.
Finally, Chagwa proposes a set of documentation templates that allow projects to be executed compliant. The set of Chagwa processes and artifacts can be adopted to scale your project management organization up to the right level of management and documentation requirements.
